These innovative PVC components make installation quick and simple for trained Barrisol installers. The wall-rail is mounted around the perimeter of the room. The custom-cut Barrisol film is stretched, and it's semi-rigid edge is fitted into the wall rail, securing the film without intermediate supports. Lights, air vents, and sprinkler systems are accommodated using techniques developed by Barrisol Stretch Ceilings installers.

Installing the Barrisol system in a typical room or small office takes about two to four hours, depending on the rooms complexity. Complexity is determined by the amount of corners and penetrations required. Penetrations for lighting, air vents, and smoke detectors are all cut in the field to assure a proper fit. During installation daily room use is not interrupted. Access to mechanical space behind the surface is still possible after the installation is complete. The ceiling can be removed temporarily, and when fit back into place, the flexible surface simply returns to it's original shape.
